To communicate effectively is a key skill for engineers and scientists, even though traditionally it is believed that our value is all about how much we know in our field, and to what extent we master advanced methods. These skills are still important, but given that your competitors have comparable knowledge and skill, your ability to communicate your ideas will give you the edge.
